Leonardo I shuttle back

DC

First, I apologize for the delay in this public action sent to the editors of Frenitalia. After all, traveling too often (too) by train, I could not be late.
Second, here is another entry from the rails (also in memory of the magazine and dignity of the old station):

Dear drafting Frenitalia,
disservice and would like to signal a further mockery of our beloved Railways .
luckily for me I would start by saying that I do not live in Italy and if occasionally I hardly ever have to deal with transport Italian. Like thousands of travelers each year, but I find myself using the Leonardo Express shuttle bus that connects directly to the Termini station in Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci. For the departure and the arrival of the shuttle Trenitalia has seen fit to devote two-track station Termini. These tracks have a small defect of being in the most remote and poorly connected to the station ... In short the top for those arriving or departing with luggage etc (the norm for those who take a plane?).
The distance from the main station to the platforms in question is truly remarkable, so much so that even if ever measured in a scientific way, I can say without a shadow of doubt that no less than 7 minutes on foot are required to cover the route input / binaries. Terms
then has a host of ticket vending machines that serve as ... but even here in most cases or do not work or do not have enough money for the rest (not to mention the sport preferred by "smart" aggressive begging!).
But so far I could still be waived, thinking that in a country where little work was certainly not a primary objective of the "comfort" for passengers but the thing that I was literally shocked when I noticed a difference in prices for the same of the same shuttle train ticket!
Let me explain, if the ticket the shuttle is made through Ticket (automatic or not) the cost of this rises to about 8 / 9 € (remember a little 'confused ... sorry) but if that lack of time or another is made at a mini Ticket (stand) near the train by a miracle the price rises to € 11! The explanation? "Is a ticket for sale near the train" and therefore more expensive.
Clearly Trenitalia has seen fit to put the ticket (including all machines) in the entrance hall of the station and even a last track, distant memory, no less than 500 meters!
now calculated that most people buy a ticket at this stand point of having to do most of the time a row ... the calculation is easily done. Tranitalia RUBA 3 € for every traveler.
Finally, as icing on the cake, I wanted to point out that to reach the airport, there are only two trains, said the Leonardo Express train and a second "internal". Well I do not believe it but with the first train journey time is 30 minutes at a cost of 8 (Read 11) € for the second dealing with the same distance 24 minutes and 5 euro!
trains will certainly be different, with different comfort etc etc ... Well in theory, in practice NO. Although structurally diverse possess both trains (in my opinion / ed) the same standard of comfort! Indeed while the former more often than not is full and you are forced to travel by foot, in the second it is easy to find a place as this is the famous double-decker trains used to transport the "metropolitan".
Now both yes and no price to travel 30 km seem really excessive, given that here in Belgium for the same service (4 times better) and the same mileage (about) the SNCB (the Belgian Trenitalia) just asking € 2.80! Among other things, the two Italian trains are not usable by people with disabilities or similar ... while the one used in Belgium!
... then just one final treat for the conclusion. On the back of the ticket of the second train, there are the usual WARNING in Italian ... in English and you say, well, there is no option as the only German! The first ticket but even that ... Great for a service intended for an international airport!
Well, congratulations again Trenitalia!
Sincerely
DC
ps: I attach no 2 photos of the tickets in question

ps2: checking on the Trenitalia website I noticed that tickets for the Leonardo Express has been increased to 11 euro as their standard rate. Imagine a family of 4 .... 44 € just to catch a train that will run it and not a few tens of km .

White Blisters On Throat

not count

Just for my curiosity (and maybe even hurt me) I wanted to keep records of the delays incurred as a daily commuter to go to work in Milan in January in June this year 's. The times were not taken "per second", but rounded down to or over 5 minutes without cheating! Normally used to go to the workplace (departure and arrival Casalpusterlengo) the train to Milan 20416 Piacenza Greek Pirelli leg (leaving at 7:02 and arrival at 7:52) and the train from Milan 20431 Greek Pirelli Piacenza return (departure at 18:07 and arrival at 18:48): pretty much the same convoy.

propose the following summary table of my misfortunes user of rail transportation in the first six months of this year 's, which indicates that, on 104 days of commuting (thankfully I missed several days of travel), I have accumulated delays 2015 minutes, equivalent to 33.5 hours, slightly less than one working week!

Add to this dirty carriages, some behind closed sometimes with so many people standing, cold winter and hot in summer (although in this respect, the annual average is around 22 degrees, having a ' range from 4 degrees to the average winter over 40 summer) you can get an idea about the pleasures of the life of commuting. I will not forget the ads for train delays and cancellations of data with improper delay (especially in Milan on Greek Pirelli) less restrictive alternatives when it is already gone.

Thank Frenitalia, and thanks to those who, having control and being able to fix it, pretending that all goes to plan!

My name? No, I'm Ugo Fantozzi, accountant, though, as all the other hapless commuters, could I ask a kind of twinning!

Catchy Slogans Healthy Eating

Sixty and thirty cents

I arrived at the door station. I do the row is the first of the month and many commuters (both students and workers) as I expect to be able to renew your subscription for the next thirty days. It is with wallets in hand, without thinking about anything special, maybe with his gaze fixed on the escape of some tiles on the shoes or some other space shuttle.
my turn and I say automatically directed to the microphone with his lips out of the glass:
- A monthly subscription of eighty miles, please.
The ticket on the other side takes the small rectangular cardboard and metal sticks it into the slot. I, with his hand ready to pull the figure that I know of habit, I ask:
- How much?
- Sixty and thirty cents.
- Excuse me, but they were fifty-fifty the last month?
- Yes, but prices have now increased.
- Since when?
- Now.
- Ah, I understand ... She said that was for my subscription?
- Sixty and thirty cents.
- but have only increased subscriptions or tickets?
- even the tickets.
- Mm. Step
sixty euro and thirty cents in the slot in the metal to glass suddenly feeling an overwhelming helplessness against such situations. The ticket is quiet and introverted and collects the money. Giro
heels (although I always wear flat shoes) and I go out from the atrium smadonnando subheading to obliterate the stupid card from over-exorbitant price. I feel very "in-sheep-flock."
then I climb up a thirty year old locomotive arrived at the station with a delay of one quarter of an hour, which reeks of diesel fuel and heat as a barbeque in the garden the day of August. And I wonder: what will never be served to pay one euro and eighty cents more if the service has remained the same as before?

That was September 1, Friday morning.

Yesterday evening, I returned from work by train No. 2245 to Bologna. Arriving in Monselice at 18:55 I had to wait about twenty minutes to take the regional train No. 20758 of Mantova for 19:18. Usually the train is stopped on the track already and I do not have to do is go up and wait for the departure. Yesterday, no. The train and the train was not there before, the No. 5580 as of 18:53, was still at the track four when he had to be from well before my arrival. It expects all on the dock, obviously there is no voice to the speakers to give comfort or at least information on the delay. Rumors claimed that 20758 was the train stopped on the tracks, broken, before the station and then the line (single track) was blocked indefinitely. The head of the train tells us that in 5580 the station square there is a bus replacement ready to go. We head towards the middle of all that turns out to be a small tourist bus probably recovered cheaply from any state of the former Soviet bloc. Let's all inside the vehicle, hoping and praying not to take an hour to travel the ten kilometers of the highway at that hour will be full of traffic. As soon as all the back of all seats were laid on the light green color, salt jalopy on a railway man who warns us that the train to the track four, one from which we had just descended, he would be ready to go. All we put ourselves in the foot, again, wiper that detach from the interior of the wagon, another transhumance. The train of eighteen and fifty-part to the nineteen-thirty.
In my head, while the old railcar thirty years trudging on track, I still think about what is served to raise the price of subscriptions and tickets.
